We begin our Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour as we get on a private vehicle to the airport. We take off from the airport at 6 or 7 am. The helicopter can accommodate a maximum of 5 people with a side window for each person. Our helicopter ride begins after the essential security check. At an aerial distance of a mere 35 km, the Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by the glorious mountains of the Himalayan range. On the way, we will witness some beautiful green hills as well as terraced fields. The ride also goes over the Modi River Gorge which is also quite splendid.
Finally, after about 20 - 25 minutes, we will reach the Base Camp. The Camp is quite stunning with a 360-degree view of the Annapurna Range along with Machhapuchhre and Himchuli, among others. Also, the Base Camp is situated at a height of 4,130m. You can also enjoy your breakfast and cup of hot tea on the lap of Annapurna. For thirty minutes, you’ll relish the magnificent view while taking some photos. You can also walk around and explore the Base Camp.
After, 20 - 25 minutes we get back on our helicopter and head back to Pokhara. Upon landing in Pokhara, a cab will take you back to your hotel. Overall, the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour is quite an extraordinary experience that you just should not miss.
